The Opportunity

Orthopaedic Surgeons are sought to provide specialist surgical care across a broad range of orthopaedic services. Opportunities are available in both secondary and tertiary hospitals, with flexible career pathways and varied caseloads. Depending on the position and location, areas of practice may include:

  • Orthopaedic trauma surgery
  • Joint replacement and reconstruction

What You’ll Bring

Successful applicants will typically have:

  • Specialist Orthopaedic Surgery qualifications comparable to FRACS or equivalent
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • Strong clinical and surgical experience
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary collaboration

International applicants may initially work under provisional vocational registration while completing supervised practice requirements.
